Data Sovereignty

100% Secure. Air-gapped compatible with no cloud dependencies.

Security without compromise.

For too long, the video surveillance industry has forced users into a false dichotomy: accept clunky, outdated hardware NVRs, or surrender your privacy to expensive, cloud-dependent subscription services. We built Talik to break that cycle.

Talik is a modern, software-defined NVR that puts you back in control of your physical security. By leveraging the power of Docker and Linux containerization, Talik runs efficiently on the hardware you already own—scaling seamlessly from a low-power NAS in your homelab to a high-density enterprise server rack.

Our philosophy is simple: your footage belongs to you. Talik requires absolutely no outbound internet connection to function. It is fully air-gap compatible, performing advanced AI object detection, fluid timeline recording, and real-time WebRTC streaming entirely on your local edge network.

Universal Compatibility.

Vendor lock-in is a thing of the past. Talik acts as an independent, intelligent brain for your security perimeter. It supports standard ONVIF and RTSP streams, meaning you can mix and match cameras from different manufacturers seamlessly.

Even if your cameras are older or lack built-in "smart" features, Talik upgrades them. Our integrated local AI engine processes the raw video feeds, adding state-of-the-art person and vehicle detection to any standard IP camera you connect to the system.

Why Self-Host?

  • No Monthly Fees: Stop paying recurring costs just to view your own security footage.
  • Zero Latency: Local WebRTC means streams load instantly, without bouncing off external servers.
  • Absolute Privacy: Protect your home or business from third-party data breaches.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Talik require a cloud subscription?

No. Talik is designed for total data sovereignty. All footage and AI processing stay local on your hardware with no mandatory cloud dependencies or recurring fees required for core functionality.

How does the AI reduce false alarms?

Instead of relying on basic pixel-change motion detection, Talik uses a dynamic environmental baseline combined with local Edge AI. It actively verifies if motion is actually a person or vehicle, ignoring shadows, rain, and moving trees.

Do I need to install desktop software?

No. Unlike legacy NVR systems that require heavy Windows clients or ActiveX plugins, Talik is built entirely on modern web standards. The full command interface and WebRTC streams work natively in your browser on desktop or mobile.

What happens when my storage drive is full?

The system features automated storage management. You can define specific retention periods or storage quotas (in MB) per camera. Once these limits are reached, Talik automatically purges the oldest footage to continue recording.
